The New York Jets have made a significant move by signing wide receiver Quincy Skinner to their 90-man roster, as reported by Pro Football Talk. In a roster adjustment, the team waived Jalen Walthall with an injury designation to create space for Skinner.

Skinner, who went undrafted last year, previously signed with the Atlanta Falcons and recorded three catches for 29 yards during the preseason. At Vanderbilt, he had an impressive college career, finishing with 66 catches for 809 yards and eight touchdowns.

This addition reflects the Jets' strategy to enhance their offensive depth ahead of the 2026 season, particularly as they look to integrate their rookie class into the lineup. Coach Aaron Glenn has emphasized the importance of competition among rookies, stating that while they are expected to contribute, they must earn their roles through performance.

This strategy could be pivotal as the Jets aim to bolster their passing game, especially with their reliance on first-round draft picks like wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. and tight end Kenyon Sadiq, who are expected to make immediate impacts.
