Canucks Army has released its top 20 summer prospect rankings for the Vancouver Canucks, emphasizing the organization's focus on rebuilding. With the recent 2026 NHL Draft, the Canucks added nine new players to their prospect pool, including first-round picks Caleb Malhotra and Adam Novotny, highlighting a strategy centered on acquiring forwards.
The eligibility criteria were adjusted this year to include players under 24 years old with fewer than 25 NHL games played, which eliminated some notable prospects like Jonathan Lekkerimaki and Liam Ohgren.
The honourable mentions list includes Aku Koskenvuo, a 20-year-old goalie who split last season between the Abbotsford Canucks and Kalamazoo Wings, posting a 3.15 GAA and a .908 save percentage in the ECHL.
Other honourable mentions are Lucian Bernat, an 18-year-old right winger drafted in the sixth round of the 2026 draft, and Samuel Eriksson, a towering 18-year-old defenceman who played for Farjestad BK's U20 team.
Canucks Army will continue with a daily countdown of the top 20 prospects, showcasing the depth of talent in Vancouver's pipeline as the team navigates its rebuild.
