A hat trick and an assist by forward Aaron Huglen led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 6-2 win against the rival Lehigh Valley Phantoms at the PPL Center in Allentown on Saturday. Linemate Rutger McGroarty had a goal and two assists for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, which has won six consecutive games.

Forward Ville Koivunen contributed two assists, while goaltender Joel Blomqvist made 22 saves on 24 shots, boosting his record to 14-5-4. According to the team's radio broadcast, Penguins forward Avery Hayes was a healthy scratch as a precaution in the event of a potential recall to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
