At the 2026 World Championships in Switzerland, two Philadelphia Flyers prospects, Porter Martone and Jack Berglund, made significant contributions to their respective teams. In Canada’s 5-3 victory over Sweden, Martone recorded two primary assists, showcasing his playmaking abilities.
His first assist occurred early in the third period, where he found Connor Brown with a well-placed pass after a zone entry. Berglund, playing for Sweden, also tallied two assists, with one coming when he assisted Jacob Larsson to score, helping Sweden cut Canada’s lead.
He showed versatility, contributing to both even strength and power play scenarios, which could be vital for the Flyers’ future. Both players demonstrated the depth of talent in the Flyers’ organization, highlighting their potential for future contributions at the NHL level.
According to Broad Street Hockey, Berglund has been rising through the Flyers’ prospect ranks and recently captained Team Sweden to a gold medal in the World Junior Championships, adding to his growing resume.
