The Carolina Hurricanes secured a significant 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night, marking a milestone for head coach Rod Brind'Amour, who coached his 600th NHL game and achieved his 367th win, the most for a head coach at that milestone, surpassing Jon Cooper's record.

According to Spectrum News, Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov each contributed a goal and an assist, leading the Hurricanes' offense. The game began with Svechnikov scoring just 36 seconds in, assisted by Aho, who also netted a goal later in the first period after a rebound.

Jordan Martinook scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period, while Logan Stankoven added an empty-net goal to finalize the score. Frederik Andersen made 17 saves for the Hurricanes, who improved to a 9-3-0 record in their last twelve games, as reported by Field Level Media.

The Lightning, struggling with a 2-7-0 record over their last nine games, saw goals from Yanni Gourde and Charle-Edouard D'Astous. The Hurricanes' performance not only underscored their ambition for the top spot in the Eastern Conference but also showcased the effectiveness of their top players, Aho and Svechnikov, as they continue to solidify their playoff position.
