The Calgary Flames are focusing on their future both on and off the ice during the off-season. A significant development is the ongoing construction of Scotia Place, their new arena set to open in 2027, which is located on a 10-acre site a block north of the Scotiabank Saddledome.

As of late May 2026, progress includes the installation of exterior panelling, with green building envelope panels already in place, and new brown and grey-white panels starting to appear. The structure's southwest corner is nearing completion, with more decking on the restaurant and team store frame.

In the northwest corner, a prominent metal structure marks the canopy entrance for the team store, alongside steel structures for the food hall and restaurants. A view from the north shows the steel framing for the northeast entrance, the Stephenson Grocery building, and the food hall.

The northeast corner has seen upper-level steel framing progress, while the parkade construction is still pending. The southeast corner view indicates that the main bowl structure is almost complete, with the community arena planned to be underground.

The report indicates that further construction updates will follow as progress continues into June.
