The Winnipeg Jets have recently announced a new ECHL affiliation with the Bloomington Bison for the 2026-27 season. This partnership follows the conclusion of their previous affiliation with the Norfolk Admirals, which lasted three seasons.
According to The Hockey Writers, Jets Senior Vice President Craig Heisinger expressed excitement about the new partnership, highlighting the Bison's commitment to success, having made their first playoff appearance last season.
Additionally, the Jets revealed the jersey numbers for their new offseason signings. Notably, goaltender Stuart Skinner will wear number 74, becoming the first player in this franchise era to do so. Skinner's signing is seen as a crucial addition, especially amidst speculation about the future of Connor Hellebuyck, with some analysts considering Skinner capable of stepping up as the starting goaltender if needed.
Furthermore, the Jets' updated organizational depth chart reflects these new additions, including defenseman Mario Ferraro and forward Noah Gregor, who are also expected to impact the team positively. As the Jets gear up for the upcoming season, fans are eager to see how these changes will affect the team's performance.
