The Winnipeg Jets have been active as they prepare for the upcoming NHL season. With the recent changes in their roster, they are focusing on integrating new players and refining strategies. According to Jets X-Factor, head coach Aaron Glenn mentioned how they plan to utilize cornerback D'Angelo Ponds, who was drafted at pick number 50 overall.
Glenn stated that Ponds would play both slot and outside cornerback, showcasing the team's intention to cross-train him. Additionally, the Jets are keeping an eye on undrafted free agents to enhance their roster, with the aim to bolster depth and competition for spots.
They have already signed a handful of players, including Caulin Lacy, a wide receiver from Louisville, and Will Ferrin, a kicker from BYU, as reported by Gang Green Nation. The organization is striving to capitalize on these moves to improve their chances for success in the next season.
