The Abbotsford Canucks have released their schedule for the 2026-27 AHL season, featuring a 72-game slate. For the second consecutive season, the Canucks will begin their campaign away from Abbotsford, opening with back-to-back games against the Calgary Wranglers on October 2 and October 3.
Following that, they will stay on the road to face the Colorado Eagles on October 9 and October 10, marking four straight away games before the home opener on October 17 against the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
This season, Abbotsford will play a total of 12 games against Calgary, their most frequent opponent, and will face Colorado, San Jose, Bakersfield, Tucson, and Henderson eight times each. The Canucks will see the Hamilton Hammers four times during the season, a new addition to their schedule, as Hamilton is now the New York Islanders AHL affiliate.
The final two weeks of the season will be crucial, featuring six consecutive road games, which could add pressure if the team is in a playoff race. The Canucks have yet to appoint a head coach and finalize their roster, indicating significant changes before the season commences.
According to Canucks Army, this development sets the stage for an exciting and competitive season ahead.
