Jessi Pierce, 37, had been covering the Minnesota Wild for NHL.com for a decade. Bill Price, vice president of NHL.com, described her as a joy to work with, highlighting her energy and passion for both her family and hockey.

Firefighters responded to the blaze after neighbors reported flames coming through the roof, and all victims were found inside. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The Minnesota Wild organization mourned her loss, stating that she was a compassionate person who served as an ambassador for the game of hockey.
