The San Jose Sharks recorded a solid 4-2 victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. Macklin Celebrini led the charge with two goals and an assist, bringing his season total to 35 goals. Collin Graf also contributed significantly with a goal and two assists, while Mario Ferraro added another goal for the Sharks.
However, the game was marred by an injury to rookie Igor Chernyshov, who left the ice just 30 seconds into the match after a heavy hit from Montreal's Mike Matheson. Chernyshov had three goals and 11 points in 16 games this season before the injury.
Despite these challenges, the Sharks showcased strong offensive abilities, which the Canadiens struggled to contain, highlighting ongoing issues for the Montreal team as the season progresses.
