Pittsburgh Penguins goaltenders Arturs Silovs and Stuart Skinner discussed their evolving relationship and the dynamics of their shared goaltending duties. Silovs, who has a record of 15-9-8 with an .895 save percentage, praised Skinner, saying, 'I like the guy.

Really nice guy... I think we have a good relationship.' Skinner, who has a record of 9-5-5 with an .889 save percentage since joining the Penguins, echoed this sentiment, noting their connection off the ice, which includes shared dinners and conversations outside of hockey.

He stated, 'We've learned a lot from each other just from a personal perspective and hanging out with each other.' Both goalies have been benefiting from a 50-50 split in playing time, a strategy that has worked well for the Penguins this season.

Skinner remarked on the importance of this split, especially given the busy schedule, saying, 'It's the first time I've ever had to do it, but I think it's been working for the team really well.' Penguins head coach Dan Muse confirmed that the split is effective, stating, 'If things continue to work, then we'll keep doing it.' This tandem approach has allowed both goalies to build off each other's performances, contributing to the team's resilience as they push for playoff contention.
