The Philadelphia Flyers are progressing towards their 2026 summer development camp and rookie series against the New York Rangers. The development camp will take place at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, starting on June 29 and concluding on July 3.

Players will return in mid-September for rookie camp, which begins on September 11, leading into the two-game rookie series against the Rangers' prospects on September 12 and 13. Meanwhile, as the NHL Draft approaches, the Flyers are eyeing several key prospects, including 18-year-old center Maddox Dagenais, who had a strong junior season with the Quebec Remparts, scoring 30 goals and 62 points.

The Flyers hold the 21st overall pick in the draft and are keen on continuing to build their prospect pool. In recent roster moves, the team signed forward Jacob Gaucher to a one-year, two-way contract extension valued at $850,000.

Gaucher, who played four games with the Flyers last season, spent most of the year with the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, collecting 20 goals and 36 points in 69 games. Additionally, the Flyers are exploring trade options for center Dylan Larkin, indicating a strategy to enhance their roster.

With a focus on future seasons, the Flyers are also being recognized as potential Stanley Cup contenders for 2027, with their odds ranging from 40 to 50 to 1. Lastly, the Flyers are assessing their goaltending situation, with reports suggesting that they and goaltender Dan Vladar are close to finalizing a five-year contract extension, anticipated to be announced around July 1.

This extension is expected to have a cap hit between $5.5 million to $6 million annually, reflecting Vladar's breakout performance last season.
