The race for the Pacific Division title is heating up, with the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, and Vegas Golden Knights all in contention. According to The Hockey News, the Ducks currently lead the division by a slim margin, holding a one-point advantage over the Golden Knights and a two-point lead over the Oilers.
The Ducks, who have a favorable schedule ahead with eight home games and 11 out of their 15 remaining games against non-playoff teams, have a 41.67 percent probability of winning the division, as indicated by their +140 odds.
Meanwhile, the Golden Knights have struggled recently, recording the seventh-worst points percentage since January 26, and their odds of winning the division stand at 40 percent. The Oilers, facing challenges including the absence of Leon Draisaitl due to injury, have the least likelihood of winning the division at 20 percent.
With nine of their remaining 14 games at home, the Oilers still have opportunities to climb back into contention, especially with crucial matchups against both the Ducks and Golden Knights. The next few weeks will be pivotal in determining playoff seeding and home-ice advantage for all three teams.
