The Montreal Canadiens are reportedly exploring trade options for forward Brendan Gallagher, with interest from the Vancouver Canucks. Gallagher's agent, Gerry Johansson, stated on the Donnie & Dhali show that the Canucks have expressed interest in acquiring Gallagher, though it remains uncertain whether a trade can materialize due to various moving parts in both franchises.
Gallagher, who has played his entire 14-year NHL career with the Canadiens, reflected on his time with the team during an emotional exit meeting, hinting that he might be moving on. Additionally, the Canadiens' pursuit of Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin seems to be facing challenges, as recent reports reveal that Larkin's trade list does not include Montreal, making any potential acquisition unlikely.
The Canadiens are also considering improvements to their defensive lineup, with suggestions to target Jeremy Lauzon from the Vegas Golden Knights, as the team aims to bolster its blueline, which has been described as lacking physicality.
Lauzon, a stay-at-home defenseman, would provide stability and is a Quebec native, making him a suitable target for the Canadiens this offseason.
