The Montreal Canadiens secured a 4-3 comeback victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday evening. Juraj Slafkovsky was pivotal in the win, scoring two goals and assisting on Nick Suzuki's game-winning goal with just over four minutes left in the match.
Slafkovsky's performance also marked a significant milestone, making him the first Canadiens player in history to score 50 points in three seasons before turning 22, according to multiple reports. The Canadiens had to rally after the Kings initially took a lead in the third period with Alex Laferriere's goal.
Nick Suzuki's clutch one-timer, set up by Slafkovsky, proved crucial for the Canadiens, who capitalized on the Kings' late-game errors. Despite the victory, the Canadiens acknowledged the need to address several issues moving forward, especially after facing a tough loss to the Anaheim Ducks earlier in the week, where they fell 6-5 in a shootout.
The Canadiens left California with important points but will need to work on correcting bad habits as they aim for consistency in the coming games.
