The Montreal Canadiens are witnessing significant growth in their prospect pipeline during the 2025-26 season, according to The Hockey Writers. Four prospects, in particular, have made notable strides.
Alexander Zharovsky, selected in the second round of the 2025 draft, recorded 42 points in 59 games with HC Salavat Yulaev in the KHL, earning KHL Rookie of the Year honors. Michael Hage, considered Montreal's top offensive prospect, excelled at the University of Michigan with 13 goals and 39 assists in 39 games, and shone at the World Junior Championship, where he scored 15 points in seven games.
Defenceman Bryce Pickford had a breakout year with the Medicine Hat Tigers, scoring 45 goals in 55 games, making him the highest goal scorer among Canadiens prospects. Goaltender Yevgeni Volokhin posted a dominant season in the VHL, with a 1.51 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage.
