The nominees for the 2026 King Clancy Memorial Trophy have been announced, highlighting Nick Suzuki of the Montreal Canadiens and Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals. This award recognizes players who exemplify leadership qualities on and off the ice and have made significant humanitarian contributions in their communities.
The winner, selected by a committee of former winners and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, will receive a $25,000 donation to the charity or charities of their choice. Last year's recipient was Aleksander Barkov from Florida, and Henrik Sedin is the only player to have won the award multiple times.
