It's not just an itch to be in the playoffs; it feels like unfinished business almost, that we have a good group that can push this forward. I want to be a part of that." Alongside Connor Murphy, who signed a similar five-year contract worth four point one million dollars, Dickinson brings a no-nonsense approach to the Oilers.

Both players are focused on winning a Stanley Cup and maintaining team chemistry. Dickinson, who suffered an ankle injury late in the regular season and missed two games in the playoffs, scored two goals in Game 1 against the Anaheim Ducks.

Murphy noted that the pain of an early exit from the playoffs has fueled their motivation to improve and succeed. Dickinson highlighted the importance of allowing players like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to thrive offensively by taking on defensive responsibilities.
