The Dallas Stars will be without their top defenseman Miro Heiskanen for the remainder of the regular season due to a lower-body injury, as confirmed by head coach Glen Gulutzan. Heiskanen will miss the final three games following an injury sustained during a game against the Minnesota Wild on March 28, 2024.

He left the ice towards the end of the first period after taking a hit from Wild center Ryan Hartman. The team is hopeful that Heiskanen will return in time for their first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Wild, although no confirmation has been provided regarding his status.

Currently, the Stars hold a four-point lead over Minnesota in the standings, with both teams having three games left to play. Heiskanen concluded the regular season with nine goals and 54 assists, totaling 63 points in 77 games, which is his second-best offensive season.

The Stars have not disclosed their defensive lineup for the remainder of the season, but options include Kyle Capobianco and Alex Petrovic, who have recorded five and nine points respectively this season.

The situation remains critical for the Stars as they aim for playoff success without their top defenseman, pending further assessments of Heiskanen's injury.
