Pittsburgh Penguins stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are powering the Penguins' playoff push while rewriting NHL history with milestone performances. Crosby recently achieved his 21st consecutive season of averaging a point per game, securing a point-per-game pace with a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the Florida Panthers, bringing his season total to 72 points in 66 games, and surpassing Steve Yzerman for seventh on the NHL's all-time points list with 1,759 career points.
Meanwhile, Malkin celebrated his 1,400th career point with a hat trick against the Panthers and now has 1,405 points in his career, placing him fifth among all-time European-born players. Both players are instrumental as the Penguins aim for their first playoff appearance in four years, currently holding a seven-point lead over the New York Islanders.
