Blue Jackets sign Greaves to $15M deal

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed goaltender Jet Greaves to a three-year, $15 million contract through the 2028-29 season. This deal was announced by general manager Don Waddell, who described Greaves as a high-character, talented, and athletic goaltender, emphasizing his importance to the club.

Last season, the 25-year-old Greaves recorded a 26-19-9 record with a 2.60 goals-against average, becoming the fifth goaltender in franchise history to win 25 games in a season. He achieved two shutouts in 55 games and tied for sixth among NHL goaltenders with a .908 save percentage.

In his NHL career, Greaves has a 36-28-11 record with a .913 save percentage and four shutouts across 76 appearances. A native of Cambridge, Ontario, Greaves made his international debut for Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Championships in Switzerland, finishing with a 6-2 record in the tournament, tying for third in wins.
