Flames end season with rookie highlights

The Calgary Flames concluded their disappointing season on a positive note with a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings, showcasing impressive performances from rookie players. Netminder Arsenii Sergeev made a remarkable debut, stopping 27 of 28 shots, earning his first NHL victory after being called up on short notice due to an illness to Devin Cooley.

Head coach Ryan Huska praised Sergeev for his outstanding performance, highlighting the rookie's ability to handle pressure and make crucial saves during the game. Alongside Sergeev, rookie Zayne Parekh contributed significantly, scoring a goal that could be a contender for Flames goal of the year.

Joel Farabee also marked his season with a milestone, scoring his 20th goal with an empty netter in the final moments. The game, while not impacting playoff standings for the Kings, served as a valuable experience for the Flames' young talent.
