Rasmus Dahlin, the Buffalo Sabres captain, is receiving significant recognition for his performance in the 2025-26 NHL season. According to Sabre Noise, Dahlin has been named to the NHL Second All-Star team for the first time in his career, finishing with 19 goals, 55 assists, and 74 points.
He joins Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard in this defensive duo, while Cale Makar and Zach Werenski were named to the First All-Star team. Dahlin also finished third in the Norris Trophy voting, receiving 13 first-place votes, and was in the top ten for the Hart Trophy, earning 17 votes including three fourth-place and seven fifth-place votes.
This season marks a turning point in Dahlin's career as he played a crucial role in leading the Sabres to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in 14 years. Despite the team's elimination by the Montreal Canadiens in Game 7 of the second round, expectations are high for Dahlin as he heads into the 2026-27 season with a renewed determination.
